Survival & Sustainability Summit

9th of October 2024 | 9am – 4:30pm | Online Via ZOOM | BOOK NOW

The Survival & Sustainability Summit is a one-day online event for charity CEOs and trustees navigating unprecedented challenging times. Right now many Boards are considering how best to ensure the sustainability and survival of the charity, and for most, this is a new and worrying challenge. Making difficult strategic decisions is never easy, so the summit provides an essential opportunity to:

  • Take a new look at how to best frame your thinking
  • Hear about various options / approaches and the potential implications
  • Learn from others’ lived experiences about how to avoid pitfalls and make it positive
  • Come away with an actionable framework to guide your planning and decision-making process over the next few months

Just one ticket per organisation will provide the CEO and all trustees with a link to the live sessions throughout the event, access to the session recordings for those unable to attend on the day, and a Board Sustainability Framework to support and structure your strategic planning this autumn.  Hear from our panels of sector leaders about their experiences, as well as experts on particular areas, and take the opportunity to ask questions (anonymously if you want) in our planned sessions:

Sessions

Why Reframing Is Critical – These are not ‘normal’ times, so we need to shift our thinking and approach in order to make the right decisions.  How can we do this effectively?

Transforming for Impact – How can we reimagine the way the charity can deliver its charitable objects, and how do we go about such fundamental change?

Things I Wish I’d Known – A panel discussion with Trustees talking about their experiences and reflections.

Closures and Leaving a Legacy – How do we anticipate and deal with a closure, and where can we get support to deliver it in the best way possible?

Mergers and Alternatives – This covers a multitude of options – what do they look like, how do they work, and how do we work out a way forward when money is tight?

‘Ask the Expert’  – What do lawyers, funders, the Charity Commission want you to know?

What Next? How to move forward, frameworks and connections.
